rooted droid cant install recent OTA update

I have the Moto Droid 1 rooted FRG22D with 2.6.32.9-P3Droid pierce@mydroidworld #165 kernal. I am new to the rooting buisness and know enough. However, verizon sent out a new update for gmail and other things and my phone wont install it. it cant find the file and aborts the installation. anyone have a solution? possibly a manual install?

So you are wanting the official ota from verizon? Are you running a custom rom?
