So i rooted my Dinc with the unevoked and it was working great. I dl the rom manager and tried to install a rom then the problems starting happening. Now my phone boots up to safe mode and i select reboot and it shows HTC Incredible then vibrates goes right back. I wiped the phone, cleared the storage and its does the same thing. I get the following msg in recovery

e: can't mount /dev/block/mmcblkop2
(file exists)
e: can't mount CACHE: recovery/command
e: can't mount CACHE: recovery/log

I just want to get my phone back i dont care if i lose data or go back to stock

Well if you can get into recovery, go to nandroid section and chose restore. pick the backup you made earlier. This the point of the recovery. If something fails to load you can restore as if nothing happened at all.

I tried using that downgrade zip and placed it on my sd card and went to recovery and it gives me an error. Am I missing something? Yeah that guy is or was having the same issue as me. Do you know where I would get a stock rom or if I tried to install another rom could that work? I appreciate all the help

So i dl the stock rom zip and copied it over to my sd card, then went into recovery and tried install zip from sd card. I selected the zip file then it shows a couple of thing (to quick to see) then goes back to the same error messages

Well it seems your going to have to take the extreme route to fix this. I would do a RUU back then reroot with the unrevoked tool. I'm still not sure how you've done this.

RUU

Unrevoked
unrevoked

Good luck and if you try this please let me know how it goes.

Edit:
Another choice would be to grab the pb31.img from this thread on AF.com

Put that on to your sd card and reboot into fast boot. The phone will ask a few questions but do most the work on its own.

so just to make sure i understand if i dl the zip file i just need to save it to the sd card - go into recovery then load from zip on sd card? I tried this with the stock rom and it send opening then closed and went back to the same error msgs - ruu wont find the phone
