Rooted Droid razr force closing home screen

Just started happening today when I press the search button in the apps menu it force closes every time any body else had this issue ?

Problem was the Google search update uninstalled updates and problem solved hope this helps anyone else before they wipe the phone like I did

All you have to do is go to the google search application in the android market and click uninstall updates I think you may be able do the same in application manager you should also make sure you don't have auto update enabled for it

This was also a known issue with 173 and had been fixed in 174. Of course that ota won't come for a few more weeks.

Interesting, it doesn't happen with mine and I'm on .173. I had .174 installed prior to the OTA push for .173. At that point, I flashed Fastboot and followed the upgrade path to .173.

Yeah I am on my 3rd phone and 3rd factory reset because of this issue!! I hope this works because this forclose issue is for the birds.. LOL
