rooting a samsung vibrant

Hello all, I'm new to the android family and I want a feature that I love from my iPhone. And that is having the ability to take screen shots on my Samsung vibrant. Can someone please help me root my phone?

Welcome to the forum. I am not sure the process involved in rooting a Samsung. I would suggest you check out our other threads. Click on the Forum tab at the top of the page then scroll down until you see a section you would like to read from. I do believe we have a Samsung section, you may find better answers there.
