Rooting Droid X?

I'm new to the droid club and have read about rooting, but I can't seem to find the best reasons to do it. Maybe im not searching right. But can I just get the best reasons to do so?

Best reasons would include using root apps like wireless tether and screen capture apps, overclocking the phone, or applying roms/themes to improve the performance/appearance.

Well the reasons I rooted are:

1. Custom ROM's!
2. WiFi tethering (hotspot)
3. Custom lock screens
4. Overclocking
5. Rooted apps
6. There really aren't any drawbacks

z4root is the simplest way, just download it from the market.
