Rooting Problem

I just rooted my incredible 2 and I can't seem to install any custom roms on it. I have clockworkmod recovery on it and superuser and all that. I put a rom in a zip file on my sd card and try to install it and it seems to work until I have to reboot and it just stays on the HTC startup screen FOREVER. any insight??

You are in a bootloop. It just means the file you tried to install may have been bad. Since I'm sure you created a backup (you did do a backup right?) you need to flash your backup and get the phone working again. Redownload the file and check the md5sum to make sure the file isn't corrupted. Boot back into recovery, wipe data and cache three times then flash your new ROM. Reboot and see if you are up and running. I'll check back tomorrow to see how you got along.

This post is Incredible 2

Sorry about the late response! I didn't get any emails that anyone responded to this thread. I'm pretty sure I have s-off. How do I check for that??

And yes, I have a few backups to restore to if anything bad happens.

Also, how do I check the md5sum?
