Rooting the razr maxx

Does anyone know of a good one touch root and unroot for the RAZR Maxx... I would like to root it to get tether since I can't seem to get foxfi to run.... so I was wondering if anyone knew of any easy to use root/unroot for the RAZR Maxx

Just to clarify, you posted this in the Maxx HD forum. Do you have a Razr Maxx or Razr Maxx HD? If you have an HD I am not sure the 1.8 Utility will work.

I rooted just so I could delete chrome and re install it just to get verizon bookmarks off of my browser lol. Well worth it.

Wait so does it work on the Maxx HD... sorry for not clarifying I figured everyone would know I meant the Maxx HD since I put it in the HD forum...... also is there a tether app that is sure to work because I spent so much on this phone unlike my DROIDX and so I don't want to root it unless there's a tether app that will defiantly work.....

This root method looks different than on my Thunderbolt.
after I d/l the file, how do I install it on my Razr?
