rotate google maps for gps on droid 3

Is there a way to get he maps to auto rotate so up is in front of you and not always north when using the gps function on the droid 3? They auto rotated on my Droid 1.

When you use the navigation option, the program automatically shifts from north centered to relative centered (or direction centered).

Press on the compass point, on the upper left, and you switch between 'up' being the direction you are traveling and 'up' being north.
