Rubix Blurry vs Rubix Focused

I have to start by saying that these 2 ROMs are tremendous!! I have been using this ROM since release going back and forth between them but mostly using Focused for the last several weeks. When the new Incognito Blurred Theme came out today I switched to Blurry and got right on it. I have to tell ya (to my surprise)...there is no appreciable difference in speed, lag, stability, battery life...anything. I have never had any problem with installing either of these ROMs either, which is awesome.

The differences that I notice:
1. Blurry phone is better...I like having speed dial working :)
2. I like the Blurry networking apps (ehh can really take em or leave em tho)
3. LPP has less issues with Blurry then Focused (ADW no issues with FCs or lag for either)
4. I like Gallery 3D being included in Focused

Really it comes down to preference and which themes you are going to want to use. You cant really go wrong with either imho.

Great Job Drod on 2 amazing ROMs!!!!
and special props to Team Incognito for some fantastic themes for them!!

p.s. no need to point out in this thread what the know issues are.
 
I hate to say it too but I actually missed Blur! I was on focused 1.0 then 1.6 but now that Bgill55 came out with the incognito themed blur widgets I switched to blurry 1.0 and I'm really liking it

I agree with Droid74 great work on both ROMs!!
 
Yup Drod was very smart in making a straight blur version of rubix and a COMPLETELY blurless version. That way both groups of ppl will be satisfied.

If you want a TRUE blur free ROM, there are only TWO options available. That is Rubix Focused and Fission… Even though you can remove blur APPS from the other ROMs, they are still blur ROMs!

I hate blur. Been using Focused for awhile, decided to give Blurry a try, within 2 hours was reflashing Focused. End result, I still hate blur.

Lol I agree, no benefit for the amount of performance you lose, Focused is fast. The way this phone should have been from Verizon fast.
 
Plus with blur you have to deal with that stupid time offset in message widgets. Prob not a big deal for most, but it dives me crazy.

I hate blur. Anything you can do with Blur apps, you can do with apps off the Market that isn't Blur. <3 Focused

Cool! So you got HDMI out working? Can I get the market link for it? jk jk. I don't see any point in hating blur though. I loved the stock rom for functionality. Sure- a little slow and a lot of crap you don't need- but a lot of good stuff and a lot of good quality stuff. Like car home. The one in the market is a piece of crap in comparison to the one that came with the phone. I was on rubix 1 and 1.6 and gave a little. It is light and fast and very cool- but you loose some of the hardware functionality -but still awesome.

I own a crotch rocket and and suv. My motorcycle is way smaller and way faster and way more fun. Buy I don't hate my SUV bc I have an awesome motorcycle. One serves one purpose, one serves another purpose. Just my opinion.
 
I'm also agree with you. I've had my x for a week after owning every iphone from the 2g to the iphone 4 and I'm l very satisfied with my choice and rom. I've only installed 3 so far. Flyx v1, rubix 1.0 and now 1.6. I just Oc to 1.15 and loving the speed. Keep up the good work guys
