Despite the fact that the HP Slate 7 has failed to gain any traction or industry interest, a new rumor suggests HP is still committed to moving forward with more Android tablet plans. The latest intel from the once-powerful PC maker suggests they are working on a next-gen Tegra 4 based 10-inch Android tablet called the HP SlateBook 10 X2. Some AnTuTu benchmarks, showing an impressive score of 27,259, recently leaked onto the web suggesting a slew of specs for the device (assuming it is real):
  • 10.1-inch display
  • Quad-core Tegra 4 processor clocked at 1.8GHz
  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
If real, this could be one of the first tablets to get the NVIDIA Tegra 4 treatment. We will keep an eye on this one. If it is priced aggressively, it could shake things up a bit in this segment of the tablet market, and allow HP to get into the game.
