Earlier we shared a rumor that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lineup would be coming sometime this summer and be Samsung's mid-range devices. We were skeptical of this intel because of the less than premium specs of the devices. However, another rumor just cropped up over the last couple of days that may support this other rumor indirectly. Apparently, Samsung is working on a different high-end tablet called the "Roma." If this tablet becomes Samsung's newest high-end Android tablet, then it would make sense for the Galaxy Tab lineup to become their mid-range series.
A supposedly leaked picture of it was released just yesterday, but we passed on the story because the "photo" is so cheesy. Still, now that we have some specs intel to go with it, we felt it worth sharing just in case it turned out to be legit. Supposedly, this new Roma tablet has some very beefy hardware and will be launching within the next few weeks. Here's the breakdown:
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- Samsung Exynos 5 Dual 1.7GHz dual core
- Mali-T604 GPU
- 2GB RAM
- 3G / HSPA or 4G / LTE, N Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB
- 10.1 inch, 2560 × 1600 pixels Display
- 5 Megapixel rear camera with Autofocus
- 1.9 Megapixel Front facing camera
- 16GB Storage and a micro SD which supports up to a whopping 128GB
- 9000 mAh Battery
