LG hasn't really done much with the Android Tablet market. They took a shot but missed with the failed LG Optimus Pad. If the newest intel is true, that will change very soon. According to the rumor, LG will soon be unveiling a new 8.3-inch Android tablet called the G Pad at their IFA event in September. This new tablet from LG will sport a 1900 x 1200 display, a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. It will supposedly also be very thin and light and will have a minimal side bezel, and will include support for cellular connectivity including a call-enabled SIM card. This means it could be used as a giant phone.
There was more intel revealed as well. It looks like LG is using several "G-based" codenames which hint at other devices. These include: G Watch, G Glass, G Band and G Hub. It appears that LG is finally taking queues from Apple, Samsung & others in order to create a unified branding for mobile devices.
