Rumor Revisited: Moto Nexus/Droid 3?

Dug up an old pic that everyone may or may not remember from last year.

Nothing ever came out of these pics. It was supposedly the Shadow which then turned out to be the X and even earlier speculation had it touted as the Nexus 2.

I do like the look of this device a lot. So whatever happened to this handset? Perhaps this will become the Droid 3? Perhaps this is the Rumored Nexus device by Motorola that hit the net a few weeks ago? No idea but it sure is nice to look at. I personally would love to see this device hit the Market. The leaked specs were a phone with 9mm thickness, 4.3-inch 850x484 screen (larger than the devices on the leaked roadmap), HDMI port and 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video recording. Sounds like the handsets that are just starting to hit (less the resolution which could easily be bumped up). Ooooooooo : )

Though I hope for a motorola nexus I sure hope it don't look like that. I don't like the white or the wrist strap. Now if it was gold and had a big sf on the back I think it would be a top selling phone.... seriously I like the dark color phones...black, navy blue, something in that range.

Id persaonally love the wrist strap. Put that badboy on my keychain... it would be almost impossible to leave my phone behind in some places.

That is definitely an interesting phone. I am not sure if I like it or not....does it come with Liberty 1.5 pre-installed? Now that would sound like the makings of a top selling phone.

I like dark color handsets as well but this would be a nice change. For me at least : )

This also needs to be a 4 inch or smaller screen. I can say that the big screens have had enough action lately. Get me a decently sized screen. 4 inches is the limit...

I say if anything this would be the D3. If Moto makes the Nexus3 it'll probably be a slate and similar to the Bionic or Atrix, like the Nexus S is pretty much a Galaxy S phone.

I am leaning towards the D3 as well jstafford BUT the first rumor/leak out was that this was the Nexus. I'm hoping its a Nexus but who knows at this point.

I want in on this cyberwetdream. Oh the sweet sweet thought of a Vz naked pure vanilla phone with lte and unlock bootloader.... Almost want to make me enter the dreamland and do an "Inception" and plant this idea in a couple minds of the executives... if i only had that machine!!! maybe even throw in a cheap lte plan with it.
