A Korean website called, ETNews, is posting a rumor that Samsung is working on a 3D version of their flagship Galaxy SII phone, that will come to retail by the end of this year. Apparently, Samsung doesn't want to be the only Android OEM without a 3D phone, like the LG Optimus 3D and the HTC EVO 3D. The phone's rumored specs are very similar to the current Galaxy SII, with a 1.2GHz Exynos processor, 4.3" display, etc. The primary difference will be two 8 mega-pixel cameras on the back to take 3D pics and video. It will also supposedly come with Gingerbread and possibly an HDMI output so you can display your homemade 3D videos on your home theater system. This could all be speculation, but we will keep an eye out for more info in the future.

Estimated arrival in the United States: Q3 2013.

Am I the only one that has absolutely no interest at all in a 3D phone?

Same here. What's the point, all the people u txt vids or pics have to have a 3d phone to view them, so that takes some fun out of it. I feel the same way about 3d tvs.

^Seeing how much I dont look at 3D stuff on my 3D TV anymore that I just got a few months ago...

You are not alone. If the other specs are nice, then I will still get it. But 3D wont be a deal maker or breaker for me.

Yep, I love high def video and sound, I love lots of RAM and fast processors, but to me 3D for movies, TV and phones is just a gimmick.

You look at tv's and DVD sales/rentals and America is hardly warming to the idea of 3D. I'd say that doesn't bode particularly well for this device.

I don't watch hardly any video on my phone, and I sure as heck won't watch more because of 3D.

why dont they concentrate on getting the original SGII to shores of the US FFS!!!!!

Do 3D phones allow one to watch 3D movies on them? Like, could I watch Avatar in 3D on my phone? Not saying I would ever want to, but do I have the possibility. I mean, if I had a 4+ inch phone with 3D capabilities, where I could download a 3D movie and watch it in 3D...that's sounds kinda cool.

But if I can only take videos on the phone and watch them in 3D on the phone, and only the phone, then ...nevermind.
