S3 Camera features not carried over to S4?

So don't get me wrong, I'm loving the S4 and all it's features on the updated camera and all the 13 megapixel glory, but my friend who has the S3 showed me a camera filter that will highlight certain colors while making the rest of the picture b/w. So if I took a picture of the blue sky, the grass and trees are faded, or if I take a picture of a red rose, the rose is still red, but the petals and stem are faded b/w. I know I can do this in photoshop, instagram and a million of other apps, but why remove those features that seem simple enough from the S4 that were already on an older phone?

The S4 will be upgraded to be able to do this.

How do you know? Will it take away what we already have? Or just add it? It's not a big deal we're missing it because the S4 camera app is still wicked cool on its own! I don't wanna go backwards!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but if you hit the menu button after you take the picture it brings up alot of editing options.
