S3 Replacement

I shattered the screen on my S3. Was thinking about Asurion, but wasn't sure what it's being replaced with. Has anyone used Asurion on a S3 lately? If not, what are some other options. I have unlimited VZW, so upgrading would be difficult if not impossible. (Unless there's a loophole, is there?)

They will just replace it with a preowned gs3 and a deductible.

Was afraid of that. I'd hate to spend $100 on a phone I already have. Anyone know of a loophole in the unlimited data contracts for vzw? Or has anyone replaced the screen in these and now how easy or hard it is?

Does anyone else have anything to say about this? I've heard some differing stories, and I'm looking for someone who's done it firsthand recently.
