Samsung made it clear that they plan to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 alongside the Galaxy Gear 2 in 150 countries on April 11th. Several carriers across the globe have already chimed in with some of their plans for the device. Here's a breakdown of launch info for North America, the UK and Australia:

  • The U.S. = Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, MetroPCS and U.S. Cellular have all announced plans to have the device available sometime in April.
  • Canada = Bell, Fido, Rogers, Eastlink, MTS, Koodo, SaskTel, Videotron, Virgin Mobile, TELUS and WIND Mobile have all confirmed they will carry the handset at some point. Only Bell mentioned an April date.
  • The UK = The carriers EE, Three and Vodafone have announced they will have the device. The retailers Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse also confirmed they will carry it.
  • Australia = Optus, Vodafone AU, Telstra and Virgin Mobile have all announced the device will appear on their network.
Although we don't know any specific pricing, we can guess that the device will probably retail around the $600 mark off contract, and the typical $199.99 on contract. We will keep you updated with more info as it arises.

I'm sure Verizon won't have it launched until the end of April so they can fill it with more crap
