Here's a crazy new rumor for the Samsung Galaxy S7. Supposedly it will be able to play 17 straight hours of video at max display brightness. Of course, we are highly skeptical of this claim, as this would be unheard battery life from a 3,000 mAh battery (which is what the Galaxy S7 is rumored to have).

We believe it is possible to see a notable improvement from software and hardware optimizations as well as the increased efficiency that will be gained from Samsung's 2nd-gen 14nm FinFET process, but this rumor would be over 3 times more efficient than the Galaxy S6. It seems unlikely that Samsung could pull off something so astounding.

It would be pretty awesome if we were wrong!

Nice! This device keeps looking more and more attractive everyday. Not only did Sammy bring back the ext sd card, but it's reported that they have also brought back the IP67 rating (dust & water resistant) for both S7 models.

If they bring back the SD Card and IP67 rating. I wonder how hard it's going to be to sell an S6 lol

I think it'll be pretty close to what they've advertised. Especially since Sammy knows one of the main customer complaints in regards to the S6 was its battery life.

If you can get that kind of battery Life Watching Videos at Full Brightness than Just normal Use it Should last longer than the Droid Turbo. Plus if it will have Quick Charge 3.0 then you will really see a Winner. If they Do pull off anything like this, What Monster would we have instore with the Note 6?

I'm going to have to call BS on this one. Even my tablet can't do that. Nor can my laptop with double battery... I know they are apples and oranges but 17 hours come one!

We knew battery tech had to improve, EVENTUALLY. We're only leary of these claims because we've had to deal with (generally speaking) crappy battery life for years. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If this were anyone else, say like Motorola making these claims than yeah, I'd call BS too!

....did I say that out loud? Dammit man! the voices!
I keed!

That goes without saying. If it's on Verizon or AT&T don't expect an unlocked bootloader, T-Mobile or International versions is never a problem.
