Roland Quandt has been the recent king of leaks over the past few weeks. He has given us some solid information about the Xcover 4 and the Huawei P10. Now he claims to have intel on the pricing of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. According to Quandt the Galaxy S8 will cost 799 Euros and the S8 Plus will cost 899 Euros at launch. That is $843 and $949 respectively. This makes these devices among the most expensive smartphones that Samsung has ever sold!

Sources have not been revealed, but we do know that these new devices will be feature rich including Samsung's all new Bixby AI assistant, and possible docking solution for a full on Windows experience from your S8. Are these prices too high for these devices, or is Samsung justified with these prices?

$171 price difference on the S8 vs S7, and $157 difference between S8 Plus and S7 Edge. That's much higher than even I thought it could be. It will be interesting to see if this is accurate.

So, for the same reason I went with the Nexus 6P vs the Note 7, may mean the Note 4 was the last "high end" phone I've purchased.

BRG is reporting the same price.. Probably pretty close.

How would you know that without having the phone in hand.
In my opinion, No phone is worth nearly $1000, unless it contains a half ounce of gold. Clearly cell phone prices aren't coming down, like televisions for instance, just the opposite, as long as people are willing to pay.

No phone is worth that money, we may be forced to pay a high price, but as others have noted, 6 months or so after releasing they're BOGO...
