Samsung international v us

hey guys. just been noticing that it seems anything of use coming out for the s3 is always for the international version first, and then usually quite sometime afterwords the US version. if at all. (I.e. drivelink and other apps, leaks on th jelly bean update). is this what I can expect from Samsung and the s3?

Unlocked international versions of all phones usually see official updates first. This is because the updates are pushed out directly by the manufacturer without the need for carrier approval. It's also a single update that goes out to all of the phones regardless of what carrier the phone is being used on. In the U.S., the updates are carrier specific, and each one is slightly different to account for things the carrier wants included or needs to have included. Additionally, the carriers have to test and approve the updates after the manufacturer has already tested and approved them, which increases the amount of time it takes for users to receive them.

So, this is what you can expect from your carrier with the S3, and not as much from Samsung. :)
