Samsung Mobile Chief Dashes Hopes of a July Announcement for the Galaxy Note 5

On Monday, shared a rumor that Samsung was considering releasing the Galaxy Note 5 and Note 5 Edge early because they wanted to get a head of the potential August/September launch of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Unfortunately, Samsung's mobile chief, JK Shin, destroyed our dreams of a July announcement for the Galaxy Note 5.

In a recent statement, Shin made it quite clear that the rumor was rubbish, calling it "completely false." This likely means the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be released at IFA in September, just as it has in every year previously.
