Without even a commercial or fancy marketing event, Samsung just unveiled a new variant of their Galaxy S5 smartphone. This one will come with their oft-rumored next-gen eight-core Exynos processor. This isn't really anything different than what they did last year. Samsung will now be offering a Korean version of the device in select markets which will come with the 2.1GHz 8-core Exynos processor instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 in the U.S. version.
We'll let you know if this version shows up in any other markets, but it is unlikely.
Incidentally, the source link for this story originally had an infographic showing the octa-core processor, but it has since been taken down. This doesn't likely mean it won't happen... just that Sammy isn't ready to reveal it after all.
