Samsung Reconsidering ICS on the OG Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab Due to Customer Outcry

It would seem that Samsung may actually be listening to their customers. Recently, we reported that Samsung was not going to be bringing Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich to their original Galaxy S Tab and Galaxy S phone. Their was a negative backlash in the community from owners of these devices, and Samsung is now reconsidering their hard-line stance on the issue.

Of course, this news isn't completely rosy. We still have to consider that even if Samsung does decide to port ICS onto these aging (but still capable) devices, we don't know how long it will take to accomplish, nor if the different carriers might also hold up the process. It could be toward the end of 2012 before it happens, and at that point, it may not even matter to most folks anymore. Share your thoughts.

At this point it's just Samsung paying lip service to the loud minority. Me thinks nothing will come of this.
