Just a few days after the release of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ we have some major issues to contend with. However none of them are as reputation killing as what we saw with the Note 7 last year which is a plus. We reported last week that many users especially in Korean markets were noticing a Red tint in their display. This was due to the rush to get phones to market at the very end. Samsung did not have time to properly configure the displays.
Samsung will be releasing an update to hopefully help fix the displays. The update will give users more control over the display color settings. Hopefully users will actually be able to configure the Red tint out of the displays, but it is quite annoying that consumers are having to take this step to hopefully be able to configure the display to optimal colors and settings. Is this a good enough fix for Samsung? Should Samsung replace misconfigured units with units that are preconfigured?
