Save pics from text messages?

Is it possible to save a pic from a text message to the gallery? When the picture is called up, I can't hit 'Menu' to save it to my phone.

Also, Camera is on the back of the phone making self portraits virtually impossible with the snapshot button on the screen. In it's default location, the "scenes" selection window comes up if I tap it incorrectly.

The camera button on the side of the phone doesn't work for snapshots, so is there an opinion on the highest rated Camera application? Thanks in advance for your advice.

hold your finger over the picture and a pop up will come out and will allow you to download the pic

Press and hold the pic and a menu pops up.

I use Vignette for my camera, it really enhances the colors.
