Saving apps to my SD card?

I am sure this has been asked before but I simply suck at searching. I am going to be on a Droid 2 shortly and was wondering I was wondering if there is a way to save my apps to my SD card... I don't want to lose my wonderful 3 stars on almost all the levels in angry birds! =)

What do you mean by "save my apps to my SD card"? Are you looking to run them from the SD card? Are you looking to back them up? Are you looking to keep a copy of the APK to install again?
