Saving Contacts to Specific Groups

I've been a member of this forum since I got my Droid2R2D2 in May. I scanned the forums for an answer to this question, but honestly haven't been able to find anything. I'm trying to see if there is a way to add a new contact to my phone without them being added to ALL groups. This is my work phone and when contacts are added, they are included in my group of employees; which backs up to contacts.google.com automatically and I'm trying to alleviate this problem seeing that I have 6 different Google accounts on my phone. Is there a way to do this or do I just need to manually input the phone numbers in contacts.google.com and then manually put them in my phone without syncing. Also, when I stop the sync between the specific "Employee" Google account, and unlink the contact; it disappears. Thank you for all your help and assistance, this has been racking my brain for months.
