Saving crystal version of GBCoid

I have GBCoid Lite and the in-game saves aren't working for crystal version. In GameBoid, the in game saves for pokemon games work, but I want to be sure that saves work on GBCoid before I spend money on it. Is there any way to get saving in Crystal version to work?
