Saving emails

Is there a way to create a save email folder / option so I can save emails on my phone that I delete from my PC?

This seems like it would be a fairly easy procedure but its not. If I open the "mail" icon and click the menu i can find other folders but there is no way to create a folder. If i click on an email and click on the menu i have an option to move the email to "trash" but there are no other folders.

I don't see any options when i click "personalize". I can create a new folder from "personalize" then clicking "folders" then clicking "new folder" but that just creates an empty folder that shows up on my home screen.

Since this post had 50 looks with no comments I will update the thread if I can figure out how to do it.

The only way that I was able to do it was to go onto a computer, and then make your folder. But once it's made you can move emails into it from your phone. But so far, I haven't been able to make one on my phone yet.

I don't know if this helps you but.... my primary email account has always been comcast. I set up the email in the Google account that I had to set up when I got my droid. Whenever I want to save am email from my Comcast account I forward it to my Gmail account. Aside from signing up for the Google account, I've never used my Gmail account for anything so it is easy for me to located the (saved) emails I want with little chance that I will accidentally delete something.

Droid Atrix: Saving emails to a phone folder

Have a Droid Atrix:
I occasionally receive an email that I want to save to another folder on my phone so that I don't clutter up my Inbox folder. There's a MOVE function, but that only gives me an option of INBOX or TRASH. I want to create a new folder on my own, but haven't seen any phone function that let's me do this. Used to have this great feature when I used a Windows based phone (HTC TouchPro 2). Is there an app out there that will address this?

I don't think you can in the way you want. You are set to sync your pc acct and your phone. So deleting in one will delete in the other. I use exchange and I can see my inbox folders and I can move things around. But I cannot have the same email in delete onthe pc and a folder on the phone.

That I think is your best option. Not sure it does it with gmail, got it works with exchange accounts
