screen doesn't turn off when i'm on a call

i could have sworn that when i put my pace on the phone, the screen would turn off. now i'll be talkin on the phone then all i hear is the dialer goin from my face hitting it. is there anyway i can get it back to where it would just shut the screen off when i put my face on it during a call?

Maybe you need a haircut. Search this forum for a similar issue that some are claiming long hair may cause the sensor to not work.

OK...how about...Are you left or right handed? The sensor is on the upper right corner of the unit, looking at the touchscreen. Are you left handed, and holding that corner away from your face a bit more?

i'm left handed. I keep on my face like a regular phone. it has started workin better, i'll peak at it while i'm on it and see that it's still off
