Screen off

Is this normal? I am at home, the phone is sitting on my table for a couple hours with the screen off. When I turn it on, the wifi is off. Therefore, while it is sitting on my table, I am not receiving any messages. As soon as I turn it on and the wifi enables, I get all my email.

Is that the way Droid's work? I know with my old BB, while it is "locked" you can still receive messages and stuff.

Check your battery mode. If you have it set to anything other than Performance Mode, it disables the wifi after preset time frames. You can use the custom battery mode and set what hours it will disable the data syncing.

Here is where you can make a huge difference on battery life. I usually set custom mode and set the time frame for the time that I know i'm going to be sleeping.

Google123, thanks for the answer and advice. I set up my battery that way as well. See how it performs tomorrow
