Screen randomly turning off

Hi,
I've been having a problem with my droid shutting off the screen randomly. I think the problem was the in pocket detection, so I turned it off and it hasn't done it again,yet. I'm wondering if other people are having this problem and if so is there a way to have pocket detection on and no random shut offs?

I have pocket detection turned on and no problems with the screen turning off.
What's your screen time out set to?
Any SmartActions active that may turn your screen off?

I don't think that it is Smart action or screen time out. I thought that initially as well and I turned them both completely off and I still get the same problem. I have also noticed that it seems to happen when I'm in a dark room and when I am changing my grip on the phone. My thinking is that the in pocket detection uses light sensors on the cameras to detect the light and when they get covered then the phone thinks that it is a pocket. Does that make any sense or is that utter crap?
