Screen timeout problem

I've got a slightly annoying problem with my DX. I set the screen timeout to 2 minutes but it will still shut off within 15 or 20 seconds. It makes me mad when I'm halfway through reading a news story or something and the screen shuts off. Any ideas on how to fix it?
