Scrolling map on Eris GoogleMaps GPS navigation?

I'm liking the GPS --only when using Google Maps, is there a way to have the map scroll automatically with your location centered? Kind of a pain (and dangerous) when driving to keep swiping the screen to see the new section of your route.

I'm pretty sure if you select "My Location" it will automatically follow you around

it does but unfortunately it keeps you in the center of the screen so you need to zoom out a bit to see the roads ahead of you. Especially annoying if you are trying to see traffic ahead.
