SD card mystery

I am trying to load music onto my droid. I have it hooked up to my pc (running Vista) and turned on the usb storage on the phone. But the computer doesn't show that there is an sd card. I checked to see if the card was still there (it is). Not sure what to do but take the phone back. ideas?

Did you tell the Droid to MOUNT the Drive from the notification bar???

The sd card symbol only appears in the drop down bar for a brief moment. Then disappears.

Try and go into "my computer" and look for a drive which is not normally present in the list. Mine registers as drive F: . When i open that drive there is everything on my Droid. Just a thought...

Did that. The droid shows up as a drive with all the files except nothing that shows the sd card.

I do believe that when u mount the Droid to the computer that everything u see is actually the card. Otherwise go into system and look for SD Card?

I am going to assume that all I see in the drive is the sd card. I will try and add a music folder and then justb drag n drop music into it. Thanks for the help.

The size of the "drive" that is reported should tell you if you are looking at the sd card.
