sd card n application issues

Hi I keep saving things to my phone and it keeps tellingmeit saves to my sd card but I can't find any of the things I save....where can I find it?
Also I downloaded the 'backgrounds' application n it saves my photos to the backgrounds directory but I can't find that as well...please help..thank you!

Where you would find your saved files on your SD Card depends on what you are saving and what app you are using to save it. To view your SD Card from your phone, download an app such as 'Astro File Manager' or 'aFile Lite' from the Android Market. To view it from your computer, plug it into your computer via USB, pull down your notifications bar on your phone, touch 'USB Connected' and touch 'Mount'.
