SD Card not deleting

A bit of a bind and looking for help. I have recently been unable to delete files from my SD card with my mac.

My SD card filled up, and I began deleting some files, ended up simply deleting 6GB of music to make room. Emptied the trash on my desktop, and ejected my dx. But the card is still reading as being full, yet none of the files I deleted are accessible. Ex: I deleted all music, yet when I open the music player, all the artists are listed, but when I try to play a song, it cannot be read.

My card is still reading as full, and will not even allow me to take a picture.

Any solutions or advice? Thanks!

I've also tried deleting music/pictures directly from the phone, but the card still reads as full.

I'm rather unsure of where to go from here.
