SD Card Question

I have rather annoying SD Card saving question:

How do i know if a number is stored on my SD Card? I only ask because i recently got my Droid replaced

No worries, nothing realy wrong happened to it, just the power on/off button got like stuck, it worked fine just had to push it down kinda weird, anywhoo took it in to get looked at and my friend was ill just replace it and get a new one ! he works verizon, so got a new droid !

Anyways, i figured all my numbers were stored on the SD Card, but lo and behold i lost about 2-5 numbers, but the weird thing was, it saved like the name and profile, even the email, but not the number??

Also i just would like it when i try to make a new sms message, when i type the letters of the contact, when it auto suggests, the name i m looking for pops up, i believe this to be something linked to the problem as some names pop up and some names dont

So i was wondering if i could see or find out which numbers were stored on the SD Card and which on the phone??!!

all your contacts should be backed up through Google. try re syncing and sync with facebook

I was under the impression that our contact info was stored in our Gmail account. I do know that there is a setting that allows the txt msg app to search for names with mobile numbers only, or all contacts. that could be the reason your missing some contacts on your auto suggest

This is a bit off, but

Before the upgrade, I somehow managed to get one picture onto my SD card. Have no idea how it got there. I've wanted to put pics on it since I got the phone. There used to be an option to "save to SD card" but nothing ever happened. Nothing got saved to it (picture wise anyway). Now there's not even an OPTION for that. What's up?

Does anyone know how you get anything to the SD card? Did I miss something in that wonderful owner's manual? Or didn't I get the "Saving to the SD card" memo? :icon_evil:

Pics are stored in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/. This is only created after you use the camera to take a picture for the first time.

You can also create the folders while the sdcard is mounted to the PC. Either create the folders or take a picture - then you can add pictures to the Camera folder.

Thanks Slider. I checked that out using a file manager app. Hmmm. Now I see all the pics on the card. But - there is still only one pic that shows up on the SD in the gallery. So what's up with that?

Does a larger SD card use more battery?

I have a 32GB SD card so I replaced the 16GB card in the Rezound with it, even though at this point I don't really need the extra storage. It just occurred to me that this may use more power, does anyone have any info on this? Being a new phone I can't stop playing with it, so the battery has its work cut out for it without adding any extra load!
