SD card storage

How to move certain contents to phone storage so I can format the sd and start over. I just want to keep a couple things on it.

Is your phone rooted? If not, you are better of moving the contents of your SD card to your PC or laptop...quite a bit simpler really.

Enable Mass Storage Mode, transfer what you want to backup to your computer, format card. Move backed up files back to card.

No its not rooted, I haven't needed it yet. Though the simple way would be to move to pc, although im not around a computer at the the moment. When I get home I'll tranfers. Thnx for reply
