SD card update problem?

I am having a problem updating apps that have been stored on the SD, I checked and I have plenty of space on the SD card and if I move them to my phone they update fine, has anyone else run into this problem and know how to fix it?

I find the when I move some apps to SD that have widgets that the widgets no longer appear in the list or the app just doesn't work right (wont connect to network, freezes, FC).
