SD card won't mount?

After I boot up the Droid phone, it shows that it is checking for errors on SD card. It's been doing it for over an hour. I tried a battery pull, and pulled out the SD card and put it back in, still no luck.

Can you select to mount or unmount in your phones options?

It does not give me the option for that. When I go to that option in the settings, it is grayed out. I think maybe my SD card is shot?? Not sure.

You may need to insert the card into your PC and format it if you can't do it from your phone. It may just be corrupted...hopefully.
