At the end of a post why do people add completely unnecessary information about what the message was sent from and how as a signature???
I don't give a monkeys left appendage and find it rather irritating.
It's a signature and it appeals to the vanity of lots of people. The bit about "Sent from my Galaxy Nexus etc" is there because many people use TapaTalk and one of it's features will insert a signature automatically. You can also modify your signature with a witty quote or a political statement if that's what floats your boat.
Since Tapatalk automatically inserts a default signature, it can help identify what type of phone the poster is using; which can be helpful sometimes if they have a problem type question.
I personally use it to let people know that I'm mobile & might not respond right away or as thoroughly as I would sitting at my computer.
Since I spend a lot of time on the forum trying to help people with issues, it's just an automatic way to let them know that I'm not sitting at the computer.
Agreed. Jonny & sajokaz touched on the main reasons I use a signature.
Sometimes they can be a bit obnoxious, but the way I look at it is: it's a part of that members personality, and imo that's the beauty of it.... we're all different & unique "individuals". [emoji1]
