Separate Apps in list of all apps?

Hi all,

My daughter has now put a bunch of games on my DROID pro. Is there any way to separate these out in the 'list all pap's view? I made a home screen for her but I would also like to not have to scroll past them when looking for an app that is not on a home screen.

I run a stock DROID Pro.

Thanks.

Larry

One thing you can do is create a folder on one of the home screens and place all her apps in that folder. When she presses the folder it will open up and she can see all her apps.

I think I understand exactly what you want to do....when you click on the app button (looks like a triangle with a circle around it) you do not want to see every single app on the app screen. I don't think there's a way to remove or hide apps from the app screen, as far as I know every single installed app has an icon here and you can't move, delete or hide them. I'd love to be able to do the same thing! My old BB allowed me to "hide" icons, would be a nice feature for the droid, although I'm sure there is some app our there in the market you can buy that will do this for you. Good luck.

If you run a custom launcher, like LauncherPro, you can hide apps from the app drawer that you don't want showing up there. You can also do a heck of a lot more in the way of customization with something like LauncherPro. It can make the user interface just about whatever you want it to be. I don't think there's a way to do it natively with Motoblur though.

jwgraves, yes that is exactly what I mean. The "App Drawer" is what I would like to create separate groups of apps from.

I will take a look at LauncherPro as bssweetness suggested.

thanks all.

You could do both of these things: make a folder (or folders) for her using apps like SiMi Folder or AppsOrganizer, then place folder(s) on a home sreeen for her. You can then hide apps from the app drawer...LauncherPro works nicely for the 'hide' feature.

Wanted to update everyone on what worked for me.

After trying a few folder alps, I have landed on 'Folder Organizer Liter and it pretty much works the way I want it to. Pretty easy to put alps in folders and even asks you where you want to put a newly downloaded app. So far it is the best folder app for me.

I also tried Launcher Pro which is nice but has not brought as much value for me as 'Folder Organizers

My phone is a bit more sluggish these days but that could be all the games my daughter is downloading, I'll have to see if there is a way to move those to the sd card or have her pick a top 5 list.

I never found a way to organize the 'all pap's app drawer but that is less important to me now that I have a single screen with folders which gets me to the apps I use most.

Thanks all for the suggestions.

Are you on Gingerbread? You can customize which apps display in your app drawer. You can choose all apps or a custom grouping of apps. All with the stock launcher.
