SetCPU Auto-refresh Yes or No?

The latest version of SetCPU has an Auto-refresh option that seems to refresh the CPU every few seconds when I check it, and it seems to be constantly fluctuating between the minimum and maximum CPU settings that I have (250/1000). Is it working correctly, and should I continue the Auto-refresh? I have a feeling it uses a lot of battery by alternating this way, but could be wrong.

I'll add my two cents though...

I've been using it on auto refresh for hours now and I don't see any negative effects on my battery so far...

It probably does if the variances are set so far apart.
