Setting up a google connect email

for my school we have an edu address but our system is run through google connect. On my blackberry it seemed to set itself up fine once i plugged in the login information, but i cant figure out how to get it to work on my droid...anyone know what i need to do?

Have you opened the gmail app, hit menu, accounts then add?
