Setting wifi only for Page Plus Droid X?

Greetings everyone, an old friend of mine is looking at getting the Droid X (either used or with no commitment pricing) and running it on Page Plus to get a better no contract monthly cellular price. She will be spending most of her time at home and on college campus both of which have wifi so will have continual wifi for most of the time and we were wondering if there is any way to program the Droid X to restrict data communication to the wifi networks while allowing voice and texts to work on Page Plus? yes there is however as of february no one can activate a smart phone on page plus, not even with data you just cant do it anymore

That's interesting, can you please post a link to an official statement of this?

I am asking because I had local Page Plus dealer ask on his Page Plus dealer network about activating a Droid X on Page Plus and he told me that there would be no problem doing it. I would really like to see official confirmation of whether he is correct or wrong.

i dont have a statement, if you can do it thats aweosme but i used to work for pageplus back when they cancelled it u have no idea how many people i had to turn away as page plus was the most popular thing there, due to the fact its unlimited talk and text on vzw's network(it was a very poor hispanic community, no offense to anyone as i am hispanic)

I shall talk to the Page Plus dealer and confirm he can indeed activate it before my friend buys her phone. (I have seen a few threads over on Howard Forums claiming that smartphones are being activated on Page Plus so I'm hopeful that the Droid part of the ban is over.)

However is there any chance you could please share with me the way to restrict the data to wifi while still having voice and text work on the cellular signal?

Go to settings, data manager, data delivery and uncheck data enabled.
