Sharing (forwarding) picture received via text

I received a photo via a text message and wanted to forward it to someone else. When I try to "share" via GMail or email I receive the following message:

"Sorrry

The applicationGmail (process com.google.android.gm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

I have been receiving this message for a couple of weeks even after I force close or report.

Any help woud be appreciated.
