According to reports from Reuters, Sharp has decided to accept a $6.2 billion takeover offer from Foxconn. Foxconn is a massive electronics manufacturer best known for being the main assembler of Apple's iPhone.

This opens the door for Foxconn to offer their own mobile device under the Sharp brand.

Foxconn believes this takeover will strengthen their relationship with Apple, and weaken Apple's relationship with rival Samsung.

Apple's interest in Sharp is their OLED technology that is scheduled to be part of the 2018 iPhone.
I don't think this takeover will effect Sammy's Chip relationship with Apple.

Will Apple continue it's Foxconn relationship, or look for a different partner?

What are your thoughts?

I don't see Apple leaving Foxconn anytime soon. They aren't about to give up the incredibly cheap labor costs Foxconn provides...that would cut into Apple's overall profits, and that's not going to happen.
