Should I update, will it freeze or fail?

Driod x, factory rom, rooted with z4, backed up with TI Pro, rom manager installed but not used yet. I am getting the download available prompt to go to 2.3.340

Question : will something bad happen if I download the update? Will it brick my phone? Will the update fail?

I rolled the dice. Uninstalled rom manager,Unrooted, updated no problems. Yeah!

Why would you think any of that ^^^ ? Its a factory pushed update...unless you have done something with root, such as rename bloatware, there shouldnt be any reason for the update to not work, let alone brick your phone.

I downloaded and updated today...lost root for a grand total of about 7 minutes...long enough for me to install z4root and run it...and no issues to speak of!

yea i unrooted, updated and then re-rooted. no issues
