Show/Hide Contacts lists

I have 3 separate gmail accounts. In my old LG Droid I could choose to show or hide contacts in any or all of these groups. In my new HTC Merge phone I no longer have this option. Is there a way to hide contacts from some accounts and show others or am I stuck with an all or nothing situation?
